Veronika Sheremetieva (known as Miss Nika) was born in the former USSR and began her professional full-°©‐time ballet training at the Baku Choreography School ( in her home town). She then completed 8 years of professional studies and graduated from the Moscow Dance Academy in 1998, under Bolshoi Academy Professor, Natalia Zolotova.
Her Diploma of Choreographic Arts with qualifications as “Artist of Ballet” was assessed by the Queensland Department of Employment and Training and is recognised as comparable to a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
After graduating, Nika performed for 8 years professionally, dancing in 10 classical and musical performing companies, shaping her versatility with world class choreographers. Her career has taken her all over the world performing in Russia, China, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Israel and England.
During her performing years, Nika also received a Classical Ballet teaching degree in Moscow. Throughout her education, Nika has inherited centuries of Russian ballet teaching methodology and secrets of the Vaganova Classical Ballet approach.
Since arriving in Australia in 2006 she has been teaching and giving workshops in Classical ballet and Character in various schools and studios in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
